Credit Review Specialist

Job Description

As a Credit Review Specialist, you will assess and review credit applications to determine their suitability for approval. Collaborating closely with the Credit Risk Manager, your expertise will drive lending decisions in accordance with our policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of clients’ financials to assess risk.
• Ensure accurate recording of credit decisions in the system.
• Follow up with clients regarding missing or incomplete documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in credit regulations and market trends.
• Contribute to the enhancement of existing credit assessment criteria.
• Work closely with compliance to ensure adherence to laws.
• Assist in the development of automated credit evaluation systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in credit risk management, preferably in the banking sector

Technical Skills

• Data Analysis Tools

Soft Skills

• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Risk Management Certification from a recognized institution

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of regulatory requirements: Knowledge of the National Credit Act and its implications on lending.
• Previous experience in managing a credit portfolio: Hands-on experience in overseeing a portfolio of credit accounts.
