We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk assessment and policy development, ensuring that insurance applications are accurately evaluated and processed. You will play a crucial role in mitigating risk and providing solutions that meet our clients' needs while working closely with agents and clients to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of risk factors when processing underwriting submissions.
• Provide feedback and evaluation findings to stakeholders and management.
• Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to enhance product reach.
• Identify opportunities for improving underwriting efficiency and effectiveness.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with industry changes.
• Assist in training junior underwriters and share best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience with specialty lines preferred
