DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about optimizing deployment and automation. Based in Cape Town, you will work collaboratively with our development team to enhance our cloud-based applications and drive technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integration of development and operations teams.
• Streamline operations and enhance project delivery timelines.
• Manage deployments to production environments safely and securely.
• Select and manage appropriate tools for the DevOps workflow.
• Review and enhance deployment methodologies regularly.
• Assist in technical documentation for development team onboarding.
• Monitor logs and metrics to ensure high availability.
• Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning.
• Conduct training on DevOps best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with QA teams to ensure quality releases.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar

Experience

• 5 years of experience in a DevOps role

Technical Skills

• Azure
• CI/CD Tools

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Cloud certifications: Certifications in leading cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure are beneficial.
