Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical care to hospitalized patients.
• Advise clients on post-operative care and medication administration.
• Monitor and improve clinic workflow to ensure patient and client satisfaction.
• Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for both pets and their owners.
• Supervise junior veterinarians and interns as appropriate.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or related field
• Master's degree or further specialization preferred.

Experience

• 5+ years of veterinary emergency or surgical practice experience

• Anesthesia Management

• Stress Management

Certifications

• Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Certification
• Membership in the South African Veterinary Association

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

• Research experience: Publication in veterinary medicine journals is a plus.
