Software Tester

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Software Tester to join our passionate team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing software applications and a strong understanding of quality assurance practices. You will be responsible for identifying bugs, performing regression testing, and ensuring software quality before it reaches our clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) with end users.
• Train junior testers on testing methodologies and tools.
• Integrate testing processes into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Maintain an updated document of test cases and results.
• Work towards achieving a zero-defect product release.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or relevant discipline
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance

Technical Skills

• QTP/UFT
• API Testing

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
• Agile Testing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of SQL and database testing: Ability to perform database testing and validate data integrity.
• Experience with DevOps practices: Familiarity with CI/CD processes and practices.
