• Review insured documents, assessing coverage adequacy and risk exposure.
• Cultivate relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
• Provide training and support for junior underwriters and interns.
• Stay abreast of new legislation and changes in the insurance environment.
• Document and file underwriting decisions in compliance with standards.
• Adjust policy terms based on detailed risk analysis and market conditions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or related fields
• Master's degree is an asset.

Experience

• 3-5 years of underwriting experience in the insurance sector.

Technical Skills

• Underwriting software proficiency
• Financial analysis

Soft Skills

• Negotiation skills
• Team collaboration

Certifications

• FCII (Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute)

Languages

• English: Fluent
