• Conduct risk evaluations for new and renewal insurance applications.
• Interface with clients to clarify coverage requests and requirements.
• Analyze complex technical documents to assist underwriting decisions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and brokers.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate holistic service delivery.
• Assess the validity of claims against policies during underwriting.
• Actively participate in underwriting audits and assessments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or related fields
• Master's degree is an asset.

Experience

• 3-5 years of underwriting experience in the insurance sector.

• Underwriting software proficiency

Certifications

• FCII (Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute)

Languages

• English: Fluent
