Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Johannesburg office, specializing in the design and implementation of infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of engineering principles and a passion for sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, including engineering calculations and evaluations.
• Participate in technical meetings and liaise with clients regarding project updates.
• Train and guide junior engineers and interns.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure.
• Provide input for project proposals and bids.

Requirements

Education

• BSc in Civil Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Civil Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 3-7 years of experience in civil engineering

Technical Skills

• Geotechnical Engineering
• Civil Engineering Codes and Standards
• Environmental Engineering Principles

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience working with government contracts: Experience with compliance and regulations related to government projects.
• Experience in water resource management: Knowledge of water resource management practices in civil engineering.
