DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced DevOps Engineer in Cape Town who will take charge of enhancing our cloud operations and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in CI/CD practices, cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, and work towards streamlining our deployment processes. You will make a significant impact on our technology stack and capacity towards embracing DevOps culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud environments effectively utilizing tools like Azure or AWS.
• Streamline deployments and advocate for continuous integration practices.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Maintain environment configuration through version control tools.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth application delivery and operations.
• Monitor system performance and optimize resource allocation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
• Master's degree or advanced certifications is beneficial

Experience

• 3+ years in DevOps or similar role specific to cloud environments
