We are on the lookout for a dedicated Technical Writer to join our innovative team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and online help systems. Your ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise content will be essential for enhancing user experiences and ensuring effective communication across our projects.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit technical documents to support software development processes.
• Gather input from various stakeholders to inform documentation updates.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices in documentation.
• Conduct reviews and solicit feedback to continuously improve documentation quality.
• Maintain a library of documentation and track version control.
• Train staff on best practices for creating and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Communications or Information Technology

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in software or IT

Technical Skills

• Markdown
• Graphic Design Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with software development processes: Understanding of software development lifecycle and processes.
