Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Financial Planner to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing personalized financial strategies for clients, providing expert advice on investments, insurance, and retirement planning, and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on diverse financial products including retirement plans and insurance policies.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and provide informed recommendations.
• Conduct risk assessments to align financial plans with client risk tolerance.
• Provide documentation and reporting for clients’ investment portfolios.
• Foster long-term relationships through exceptional client service.
• Develop marketing strategies to reach potential clients.
• Utilize technology to effectively manage client interactions and follow-ups.
• Attend ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with sales teams to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics
• Master's degree is a bonus

Experience

• 4+ years in financial advisory services

Technical Skills

• Portfolio Management
• Regulatory Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• Registered Investment Advisor (RIA)
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM) is desired
