Job Description

As a Refrigeration Installer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of refrigeration systems. Your responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration units in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Assist with the training of junior staff and apprentices.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to accurately identify issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support.
• Follow industry best practices and standards for installation.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to enhance service delivery.
• Keep informed of new products and technologies in refrigeration.
• Participate in emergency call-outs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems

Technical Skills

• Experience with electronic leak detection equipment
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations

Soft Skills

• Ability to work under pressure
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Valid driver's license

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with refrigeration system controls and automation: Familiarity with the integration of controls in refrigeration technology.
• Certification in refrigeration technology: Preferred but not mandatory certification demonstrating expertise.
