Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and administrative assistance to ensure the efficient running of IT operations. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with network management, and provide support for end-users, ensuring minimal disruptions in daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the help desk and ensure timely resolution of IT support tickets.
  • Provide hands-on support for technical issues affecting the organization.
  • Execute preventive maintenance on all IT equipment.
  • Participate in IT projects aimed at improving organizational efficiencies.
  • Maintain software inventory and licensing compliance.
  • Conduct training sessions for users on IT best practices.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and trends relevant to IT support.
  • Analyze and report on common issues to improve IT processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Certifications like Cisco CCNA beneficial
Experience
  • 5 years of hands-on IT support experience
