Job Description

As an Extraction Worker, you will be responsible for assessing and treating foot conditions while providing excellent care and communication to our patients. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the health and comfort of our clients, making your skills invaluable in our clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of foot health.
  • Formulate and execute tailored treatment plans for patient care.
  • Provide guidance on foot health maintenance and injury prevention.
  • Document all treatment and patient interactions meticulously.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members for enriched patient care.
  • Engage in continuous learning to improve professional skills.
  • Participate in health awareness initiatives within the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Podiatry or a related field
  • HPCSA Registration is essential.
Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in foot health.
Technical Skills
  • Diagnostic tools proficiency
  • Orthotic equipment knowledge
Soft Skills
  • Effective patient management skills
  • Time management skills
Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

  • Additional qualifications in sports podiatry: Knowledge in providing specialized care for athletes.
  • Experience with orthotics production: Hands-on experience in producing and fitting orthotic devices.
