Allied Health Therapist

Job Description

We're currently seeking an Allied Health Therapist to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will provide support to patients through therapeutic interventions, contributing to their rehabilitation and recovery. Successful candidates will possess a strong understanding of healthcare practices and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify patients' physical and psychosocial needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions in accordance with best practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy interventions as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques and improvement strategies.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training.
• Assist in the management and training of junior therapists and students.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field

Experience

• Min 2 years of experience in a similar therapeutic role

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous
