Telecommunications Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

As a Telecommunications Equipment Mechanic, you will be key in installing, maintaining, and repairing communication systems. You'll troubleshoot various technical issues, working with team members to ensure our equipment functions properly in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain telecommunications systems per client and regulatory specifications.
• Respond to service requests and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Work closely with engineers to support the installation of new communication technologies.
• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or enhancements as needed.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and client feedback.
• Assist with project planning and execution for new telecommunications installations.
• Maintain inventory of tools and equipment for repairs and installations.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users on communication equipment functionality.
• Implement company policies and procedures relating to communication systems.
• Foster relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.

Requirements

Education

• Post-secondary education in telecommunications or related field
• Additional certifications in specialized communication technologies are advantageous.

Experience

• Experience working in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
