Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a variety of settings. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer prescribed medications and manage IV therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Monitor vital signs and manage critical situations effectively.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Nursing
• Bachelor of Nursing is preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting

Technical Skills

• Patient Care Management
• Infection Control Protocols

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Zulu: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Previous experience in a community health setting: Experience in community health initiatives is advantageous.
