Environmental Laboratory Technician

Job Description

The Environmental Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting tests and analysis on samples of air, water, soil, and other environmental elements. They will work in a laboratory setting, interpreting data and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests on air, water, and soil samples.
• Analyze results and compile reports for review.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss findings.
• Utilize laboratory information management systems (LIMS) effectively.
• Comply with health and safety standards in the laboratory.
• Keep abreast of relevant environmental legislation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Other relevant certifications in laboratory techniques are advantageous

Experience

• 2-5 years of laboratory experience and knowledge of laboratory protocols and procedures.
