Environmental Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Consultant to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge to develop and implement strategies that promote environmental health and compliance. Ideal candidates will have a background in environmental science and a passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Assess the environmental impacts of proposed projects.
• Conduct compliance reviews and audits for environmental regulations.
• Provide expert advice on sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners on project design to ensure environmental considerations are met.
• Engage with regulatory agencies as necessary.
• Provide training and education on environmental issues to staff and clients.
• Draft and review environmental impact assessments (EIAs).
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure best practices in sustainability.
• Develop action plans for environmental improvement.
• Support research and development of environmental technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate degree in a relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental analysis or consulting
