Job Description

As an Actuary at our Bloemfontein office, you will conduct risk assessments and develop financial tools to enhance company profitability. The right person will be detail-oriented and possess advanced analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rigorous statistical analysis to determine risk and derive meaningful insights.
• Develop and implement actuarial models to predict future events and evaluate financial outcomes.
• Collaborate with other departments to create effective risk strategies.
• Monitor and analyze market trends to advise on potential impacts on financial strategies.
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Review and validate the accuracy of financial data and models.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Professional actuarial qualifications (e.g., SOA, ASSA) preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in actuarial roles or financial analysis
