Environmental Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will provide environmental assessments and consulting services to ensure clients adhere to local and national regulations while implementing sustainable practices. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate environmental risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Assist in the preparation of environmental impact assessments (EIAs).
• Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Develop and implement sustainability initiatives for clients.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to monitor compliance and assess conditions.
• Support clients in achieving environmental certifications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in Environmental Studies are an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting

Languages

• English: Fluent
