Job Description

As a Milling and Planing Machine Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring that our production equipment operates smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee the milling and planing processes, monitor equipment, and manage staff during your shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate milling and planing machines according to production schedules.
• Optimize production efficiency and minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to meet specifications.
• Adhere to all safety and quality regulations while maintaining a clean work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding production statuses.
• Assist in improving production processes and suggest equipment upgrades.
• Document production activities and report variances to the supervisor.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate or equivalent
• Relevant technical qualification

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
