Job Description

We are seeking a Sustainability Consultant based in Johannesburg to assist businesses in implementing sustainable practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the environment and a track record of developing and executing sustainability strategies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients’ current sustainability practices and recommend improvements.
• Facilitate workshops with clients to foster a culture of sustainability.
• Assist in the development of sustainability-focused marketing materials.
• Research and identify potential funding opportunities for sustainability projects.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders to enhance sustainability initiatives.
• Assess the feasibility of sustainability projects and initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in sustainability consulting or related field

• Environmental Regulations

• Project Management

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Experience with ISO standards: Familiarity with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards.
• Knowledge of carbon footprint assessment tools: Experience using tools to measure and minimize carbon emissions.
