Job Description

As an Estate Tax Examiner, you will be responsible for examining estates to determine tax liability, verifying tax returns, and providing guidance to taxpayers and their representatives on tax laws and regulations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax laws while assisting clients in navigating complex tax issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to increase awareness of tax compliance requirements.
  • Assist in training junior staff on tax examination processes.
  • Utilize tax preparation software to assist clients effectively.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in estate tax preferred
