Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our Cape Town office. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring that they are durable, safe, and capable of withstanding the elements. Ideally, the candidate has experience in working with steel and concrete structures, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend materials and construction techniques for efficiency.
• Engage in quality control inspection throughout the construction process.
• Provide technical support and expert advice during project execution.
• Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and team members.
• Develop and present project updates to senior management.
• Investigate and troubleshoot site issues as they arise.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 3-6 years of relevant experience
