Home Health Aide

Job Description

As a Home Health Aide with Compassionate Care Services, you will provide essential daily living assistance to patients in their homes. Your role is critical in helping individuals maintain independence and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and support tailored to individual client needs.
• Document observations on clients' physical and emotional well-being.
• Assist with transporting clients to appointments if required.
• Help maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
• Encourage clients to engage in social and recreational activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in Nursing or relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare role

Technical Skills

• Patient care techniques
• Charting and documentation skills

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual abilities: Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans is a plus.
• Experience in palliative care: Knowledge in providing end-of-life care.
