Job Description

As a Bookkeeper based in Port Elizabeth, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial services.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, from data entry to report generation.
• Prepare and submit compliance-related documentation.
• Assist with the implementation of new financial software.
• Provide training to junior staff on financial procedures.
• Participate in monthly closing processes and reporting.
• Communicate with clients regarding their bookkeeping needs.
• Review financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years in a bookkeeping role or similar position

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Accounting Software
• Knowledge of Tax Regulations

• SAGE Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
