Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and be passionate about sustainability. You will be responsible for conducting environmental assessments, providing regulatory guidance, and implementing eco-friendly practices for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessment projects from inception to completion.
• Identify and mitigate environmental risks in projects.
• Liaise with governmental and regulatory agencies.
• Educate clients on sustainable business practices.
• Research and identify potential environmental improvement measures.
• Assist with grant writing and funding applications for environmental initiatives.
• Develop training materials and workshops for clients on environmental issues.

Advantageous

• Experience with Environmental Management Systems (EMS): Knowledge of setting up and managing EMS in organizations.
• Understanding of sustainable development goals (SDGs): Familiarity with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and their integration into strategies.
