Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Consultant to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk assessment and security protocols, aiming to protect our clients' systems against cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the existing security infrastructure and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate penetration testing and other security assessments.
• Document security incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Create security awareness programs for employees.
• Work closely with external partners to ensure compliance.
• Provide technical guidance during the development of new projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting

Technical Skills

• Risk Management
• Firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of data protection laws: Familiarity with GDPR, POPIA, and other data protection regulations.
• Experience in security training: Experience in conducting security awareness training for staff.
