Manufacturing Operations Lead

Job Description

We are actively seeking a Manufacturing Operations Lead to steer our factory operations in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will oversee production processes, drive efficiency, and ensure quality standards are met while leading a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Cultivate teamwork and motivate staff to achieve high performance.
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to maintain product standards.
• Assist in the development and management of budgets for operational costs.
• Participate in strategic planning to align operations with company goals.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Train and mentor staff in best practices and industry standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or relevant discipline
• Master's degree in Operations Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role in manufacturing

Certifications

• Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
