Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This role involves safeguarding our digital assets and implementing security measures to protect our systems from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cybersecurity principles and practices, with the ability to assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent audits of security policies, procedures, and programs.
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to secure services and procurements.
• Implement security measures in cloud environments and manage data security.
• Review and update incident response plans and protocols.
• Provide comprehensive reports on security incidents and risk assessments to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CEH, etc.) is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity

• Firewall Management

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SIEM tools: Proficiency in using Security Information and Event Management tools.
• Knowledge in data loss prevention (DLP) strategies: Understanding of best practices to prevent data breaches.
