Tax Consultant

Job Description

As a Tax Consultant, you will play a key role in providing expert tax advice to our clients. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and advising on tax strategy. We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tax returns for various clients.
• Conduct tax audits and compliance checks.
• Advise clients on tax planning and strategies.
• Research and apply relevant tax laws.
• Stay updated on changes to tax legislation and policies.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist in risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare tax calculations and documentation for clients.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to departmental goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in tax consultancy or accounting

• Tax Compliance

• Communication

Certifications

• Tax Practitioner Registration
• Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferable

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Sage and other accounting software: Knowledge and experience with Sage accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations: In-depth understanding of VAT laws and implications on businesses.
