Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our creative team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing design projects, from initial client meetings to final installations. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of spatial dynamics will be key in delivering exceptional design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present design proposals based on client requirements.
• Produce detailed drawings and specifications for construction.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Manage procurement of materials and furniture.
• Ensure quality standards and design integrity are met.
• Assist in resolving design and construction issues as they arise.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• Postgraduate qualification in Design is an advantage

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in high-end interior design

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Lighting Design Software

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Interior Design Professional (CIDP)
• BIM Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in project management: Proven ability to lead interior design projects from concept to completion.
• Proficient in other design software: Experience with additional design software like Revit or ArchiCAD.
