Job Description

The Naval Aircrewman Helicopter operates helicopters for various missions, including search and rescue, transport, and combat operations. This role demands extensive knowledge of aviation systems and the ability to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections to ensure helicopter safety.
  • Operate navigational systems and communicate effectively with the crew.
  • Engage in continuous training and skill development.
  • Respond to changing mission requirements and adapt accordingly.
  • Document all operational details and maintain necessary logs.
  • Assist in the training of new crew members and share knowledge.
  • Conduct in-flight evaluations and report on performance.
  • Participate in safety drills and exercises to maintain readiness.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of advanced military training
  • Aviation-related training and certification
  • Current pilot's license
Experience
  • 5+ years of aviation experience, with at least 2 years operating helicopters.
