Environmental Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Environmental Consultant to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science or engineering, with a focus on sustainability practices. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, implementing projects, and advising clients on best practices for environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance assessments for clients.
• Innovate and share sustainable practices within the organization.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding environmental issues.
• Review and analyze current environmental programs.
• Implement monitoring systems to track project progress.
• Prepare and assist in the submission of permits and applications.
• Coordinate efforts among various departments to ensure environmental standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Engineering or similar
• Postgraduate qualifications in sustainability are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in environmental assessment and consultancy

Certifications

• Registered Environmental Practitioner (REP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
