We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our innovative team in Cape Town. As a Cloud Engineer, you will oversee the design, deployment, and management of cloud-based solutions, ensuring that they are cost-effective, efficient, and secure. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and a passion for automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud strategy sessions to identify and prioritize cloud initiatives.
• Design and implement reliable data storage solutions within the cloud.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud service providers and tools.
• Create and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture and processes.
• Facilitate training for staff on cloud technologies and security best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud initiatives with business objectives.
• Review and optimize existing cloud configurations for cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cloud Computing or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and DevOps

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
