Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on project management, design and implementation of infrastructure projects, and will be passionate about contributing to sustainable engineering practices. You'll work closely with architects, stakeholders, and other engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Evaluate technical designs to ensure viability and compliance.
• Coordinate between different engineering disciplines and clients.
• Conduct feasibility studies and environmental assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Supervise construction teams on site and ensure project milestones are met.
• Implement best practices for engineering efficiency and quality.
• Drive innovation in project delivery methods.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals for new projects.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or relevant specialization

Experience

• 5-7 years of relevant engineering experience.

Technical Skills

• SAP2000
• Civil Engineering Design Software

Certifications

• South African Council for Professional Engineers (SACPCMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification: Desirable certification to enhance project management skills.
