Job Description

The Telephone Installer and Repairer Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of technicians to ensure the efficient installation and maintenance of telephone lines and equipment. This role requires a solid understanding of telecommunications systems, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the installation team.
• Ensure the use of proper techniques and safety protocols during installations.
• Foster collaboration between the installation team and other departments.
• Create and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Work with suppliers and contractors to facilitate installations.
• Maintain a positive working environment and encourage teamwork.
• Facilitate conflict resolution within the team.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance the technical skills of the team.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Degree in telecommunications engineering or related field preferred
• Management training is an asset

Experience

• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role

Technical Skills

• VoIP Systems Knowledge
• Fiber Optics Installation

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Customer Service Orientation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fiber Optic Installation Skills: Hands-on experience with fiber optic installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Testing Equipment: Experience with telecommunications testing equipment and tools.
