Job Description

The General Teller will be responsible for conducting a range of banking transactions and ensuring excellent customer service. You will handle cash and financial instruments securely while assisting customers with their banking needs.

Responsibilities

  • Handle cash transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
  • Balance cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Assist clients with account inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and security policies.
  • Process loan applications within authorized limits.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and documentation.
  • Assist in training of new tellers as necessary.
  • Engage with customers to enhance their banking experience.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss customer service improvements.
  • Provide feedback for better operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Relevant qualification in banking or finance is preferred
Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in banking or customer service roles
