Assembler / Fabricator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for experienced Assemblers and Fabricators to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality kiln furniture using various casting techniques, ensuring that products meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues when they arise.
• Document daily production logs and report on outputs.
• Participate in training and development programs for skill enhancement.
• Work collaboratively with other departments such as Quality Control and Design.
• Conduct regular maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime.
• Promptly report any discrepancies or issues in production to the supervisor.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Ceramics or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in kiln furniture casting or similar roles.

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Strong manual dexterity
• Knowledge of casting techniques
• Basic computer proficiency

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Team collaboration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with large-scale production processes: Familiarity with managing larger production tasks and outputs.
• Knowledge of ISO and quality control procedures: Understanding of quality standards and implementation of practices.
• Experience with different casting materials: Hands-on experience with multiple types of casting materials.
• Experience with mould-making techniques: Knowledge of different mould-making processes.
