Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to solve complex mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Utilize diagnostic tools and software for effective troubleshooting.
• Maintain parts inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to project planning.
• Adapt to new technologies and techniques in mechanical engineering.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Higher Diploma in Engineering preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in mechanical maintenance or servicing

Technical Skills

• Hydraulic systems knowledge
• Electrical systems understanding

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Health and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with robotics: Experience working with robotic systems in a manufacturing environment.
