IT Support Technician

Job Description

Join our Bloemfontein office as an IT Support Technician, where you'll assist with everyday technical issues, maintain IT systems, and provide support to users. Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to all users seeking technical support.
• Assist in the management of IT inventory and asset tracking.
• Ensure all IT systems are regularly updated and patched.
• Handle escalated support requests to ensure quick resolution.
• Develop and maintain user documentation and training materials.
• Work closely with third-party vendors for hardware and software services.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the IT support function.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Computer Science or related field
• Certifications in Microsoft or Cisco technologies are a plus!

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a technical support role

Technical Skills

• Mac OS
• VPN and Remote Access

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with VoIP Systems: Knowledge of Voice over IP technologies and troubleshooting.
• Scripting Skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash): Ability to write basic scripts for automation tasks.
