Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Dentist to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will provide high-quality dental care, perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and preventative treatments, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose oral health conditions.
• Perform a range of dental procedures effectively and efficiently.
• Consult with specialists for complex cases as needed.
• Keep up to date with continuing education and industry advancements.
• Engage with patients to discuss treatment options and outcomes.
• Support dental health campaigns in the community.
• Foster a positive and welcoming environment for patients.
• Document patient interactions accurately and thoroughly.
• Supervise dental staff and provide mentorship as required.
• Promote a culture of compliance with regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent
• HPCSA Registration is mandatory

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in general dentistry preferred

Technical Skills

• Cosmetic dentistry
• Endodontics

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Sedation Certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
