Production Worker - Liner

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Production Worker to join our liner operations in Cape Town. The successful candidate will oversee loading and unloading cargo, ensuring that all safety processes are adhered to while liaising effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the cargo loading team.
• Ensure cargo is loaded and stored efficiently and securely.
• Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for staff.
• Coordinate with transport services for optimal logistics.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to shipping regulations.
• Facilitate communication between various departments.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation for accuracy.
• Identify operational challenges and propose solutions.
• Support managerial decisions with insightful reporting.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Relevant qualifications in Logistics are preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics operations.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Shipping Software
• Logistics Coordination

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Analytical Thinking

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
