Tax Specialist

Job Description

We're in search of a Tax Specialist who possesses comprehensive knowledge of South African tax legislation. This role will require the individual to conduct detailed tax analyses, assist clients with tax queries, and ensure compliance with all tax requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with SARS, preparing tax returns, and providing effective tax planning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients on best practices for tax compliance.
• Support the preparation of financial statements in relation to taxes.
• Assist with the implementation of tax strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
• Monitor and manage deadlines for all client tax filings.
• Collect documentation needed for tax calculations and submissions.
• Analyze tax data to provide recommendations for clients' fiscal strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Tax certification (e.g., SAIT) is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax compliance and consulting
