Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are currently searching for a Chemical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of chemical processes and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing chemical production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and innovate processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects aimed at innovation in chemical synthesis and processing.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to streamline production workflows.
• Utilize simulation software for process modeling.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new projects and expansions.
• Maintain a focus on sustainability in all projects.
• Review and prepare technical documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on project outcomes and innovations.
• Support the implementation of health and safety measures in the workplace.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in a relevant field highly regarded

Experience

• 5 years of experience in a similar role within the chemical industry
