Biochemical Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Biochemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Richards Bay. You will spearhead innovative projects aimed at developing biotechnological solutions that meet environmental standards while enhancing productivity in the chemical sector.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop new biochemical products that enhance sustainability.
• Work closely with the engineering team to transition pilot processes to full-scale operations.
• Supervise lab technicians and support staff in daily operations.
• Maintain detailed records of experiments, analyses, and process changes.
• Engage with suppliers to evaluate and implement new technologies.
• Investigate and resolve production problems and process inefficiencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Biochemical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience

• Fermentation Technology

Languages

• English: Fluent
