Job Description

We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will assist users with hardware and software issues, providing excellent customer service and effective problem resolution. You will be key to maintaining a smooth IT environment, ensuring all support requests are addressed promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Handle user inquiries on IT systems and services.
  • Manage and follow up on support requests from staff.
  • Perform routine maintenance on IT systems and assist in problem-solving.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations.
  • Support the onboarding of new employees with IT training.
  • Monitor system performance and report anomalies.
  • Assist in the setup of new hardware and software for users.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and problem-solving sessions.
  • Improve user satisfaction by providing prompt and effective support.
  • Stay updated with technology trends relevant to the company needs.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or related field
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support roles
