We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of structural design principles and will be responsible for overseeing various projects from conception through completion. Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural components for various projects.
• Conduct site inspections to assess construction progress and compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to create integrated designs.
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for project submissions.
• Ensure all projects comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Provide technical advice and support to project teams and clients.
• Review and approve project documentation and reports.
• Track project timelines and budgets for adherence to established goals.
• Perform structural analysis using appropriate software.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of experience in structural design and project management

• Civil 3D
• Revit

Certifications

• LEED Green Associate
• Chartered Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with fibre reinforced polymers: Knowledge of advanced materials in construction.
