Responsibilities

• Act as a first assistant in surgical procedures, providing critical support to the surgical team.
• Evaluate patients pre-surgery and carry out post-operative check-ups.
• Support the surgical team with technical tasks as required.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery plans.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are prepared and sterilized.
• Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
• Work alongside nurses and other health professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies is preferred

Experience

• Experience in a surgical setting will be a strong advantage

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with surgical instruments

Soft Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field: Preferred educational background for the role.
