Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and responding to incidents. You'll be responsible for shaping our cybersecurity strategy to protect our systems and data from potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Manage security tools and technologies, ensuring they are effective and up-to-date.
• Evaluate and assess third-party software for security implications.
• Respond promptly to security breaches and mitigate damage.
• Coordinate with teams to investigate and resolve security incidents.
• Prepare timely reports and documentation of security incidents.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to enhance security measures.
• Engage in research to identify vulnerabilities within the organization’s infrastructure.
• Facilitate the development of security protocols and frameworks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Systems
• Relevant security certifications are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in cybersecurity with a focus on risk management

Technical Skills

• Vulnerability Management

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent
